How can you sedate a fly?

Question by experimental9582: How can you sedate a fly?
I am wondering if there are any methods that would involve household ingredients or easily bought materials so that I can sedate a fly. (I will need to sedate it, tie a string to it, have it wake up, take a quick picture, sedate it again, and then release it. (Ideally, it will be a bee or a common housefly.)
