How do stores that sell used golf balls clean them?

Question by Dustin: How do stores that sell used golf balls clean them?
I was just wondering what products that places that make a living out of selling used golf balls use to clean them. I've tried putting mine the the washer/dishwasher and have even used hydrochloric acid to clean them and yes they do look nice, but none of them ever look brand new like the ones you can order from the stores. Anyone have any clue what they do?
