I heard Sage makes a good rod and I should get a 9 foot 5 weight 4 piece. But I don't want to break the bank.

Answer by Roni'd recommend going to a place like bass pro or l.l. bean to get outfitted. to save some bucks, place an ad on craigslist about used gear and skip the waders.
