Question by Golfer 2008: What causes the steel shafts of golf irons to rust?
Also, i would like to know how to prevent this within the future as i am considering buying anohter set of golf irons. Thanks.

Clean them after use and store them dry. If you're worried, run an oiled rag over them every once in a while.
